I hate when this happens on my photoshoot. Especially when they get it on tape.

Not my photoshoot, but I know how the photographer and the handlers felt.

One with nature Ted, be the lion (being it's food counts right?)

I can't wait for the dragon sequence/moves, they're friendly too!

I've known people like that, I'm special all nature loves me.

but I can see how that would be an effective martial arts move, you
start your stuff and a lion eats you, that would scare off an attacker real fast.

I like the one handler, he runs up and kicks the cat in the face lol.
Has that ever happened on one of your shoots ted?

Actually no. I never let the talent near a cat if there might be a problem. I have been around when a big cat decided it was the top of the food chain though. No so much fun.

Seriously, the cat wasn't even trying to get her. It was a half hearted lunge if anything and if she had been aware she could have avoided it. She was really unlucky and the cat landed on her.

The trainer did exactly the right thing by kicking the lion. It distracted him from realizing that he had injured prey under his jaws and I'm sure it hardly felt it. They are tough SOB's.

Well luckly the most dangerous animals I take pictures of is my local hawk and owl population and I doubt they would ever go after me. I have had hawk fly within a few feet of me when I was near its nest.
Birds are hard to shoot with 35mm manual focus and forwarding cameras, theres a challenge

I remember seeing a B&W photo taken from the air after the 1906 SF earthquake. I'm sure it was his

I have a couple hundred B&W negs of SF after the 1906 quake.

Anyone seen the new show "New Amsterdam"? The main character is over 400 years old and immortal and doesn't even try to hide it. He's always making comments on skills he has or knowledge that only someone from a different century would know. He will even mention that he hasn't been somewhere for over 300 years and everyone thinks he's just joking around. It's pretty good. Some of the main characters are his 65 year old son who is a bartender and his dog's name is #36. Check it out when you get the chance.

Mike, make sure you're converting from Adobe 1998(or other color space) to sRGB for viewing on the web if you are not already doing that.

Thanks, Ted.

I converted to sRBG, and "saved for web & devices", which was set to "use document profile".

Gita was not behaving very intelligently, moving like that near Leo. Has she no clue about animal psychology and animal behavior? And her martial arts awareness... how could she have missed the way Leo was acting throughout the photo shoot?

I'm surprised to see an expert martial artist with the "nature is like Disneyland" tourist mindset.
