mag: I use an a5 with e grip too.
I'd love a drop forward, I have a stock, (along with a bunch of other stuff I don't use. it took me a few games to find out I hate having to lug a bunch of stuff around and like to go light) but I like the tank better.
and I usually use my 14" stiffi/specops (I forget what it's called, but it weighs under 2 ounces and is very quiet and accurate. about as accurate as a dye two piece) barrel.

<img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif" alt="" />

I love going with my friends.
but the place I go now is this church in yardley PA, and the guys that run it (they play too) are cool, but all the kids are stuck up and hate me for no real reason...
???

but some of my friends from my church come, so it's normally pretty fun.

and how come you can just get an l2d?
it sounds like you REALLY want one.
is it just because how much they cost or something???

a friend of mine custom machines drop fwds for lots of his own markers. i'll try to get a photo up of the a5 drop fwd, it's huge and leaves the compressed air tank at an angle so i can pull it in on my collar with the marker in way closer than anything you can get commercially, it's awesome. also been using shorter barrels lately, as with the high rate of fire you don't need the accuracy of a 14" barrel anyway. i'd like to get an adapter to put that dye excel on a pump gun to play stock, which i've never done. only woods and speed ball.

as for the l2d, i'd pay for the tk-10 as i have nothing like it but since i modded my mag 2aa with the cree led for 140 lumens, i don't feel right paying for another cree 2aa. trades are different.

Barrels do not affect accuracy that much, they just add range(as long as they are under 18in, any higher and you lose range and power).
Bolts inprove your accuracy, I have been thinking of a aftermarket bolt for my a-5.

response triggers can get problems too though can't they?
cause it's just alot of air going to alot of different things. (cause the cyclone uses air)
but I wanted one for a while, cause I thought e-grips were nothing but trouble, but after you get the kinks worked out (normally you get some kinks and some problems that need fixing, or some settings that need to be tweeked) they work great and don't have many problems.
from my experience.

and yeah, the blackcell c series right?
I love it.
seems like you are into spec-ops.
thats good, as far as woodsball goes, they have some awesome gear and advice.
I play w/e, I'm really fast in the woods so I normally get way up there with my friend throwing paint from behind me.

I like letting my oponents get nice and close to.
<img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif" alt="" />

mag: I'm about to switch to air, I found some reasonable priced (well, well priced actually) air tanks at my local sporting goods store and will probably switch to air soon... right now... I'm forced to use dirty nasty inacurate c02.
<img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/frown.gif" alt="" />

when I do get one, I'll probably just buy a cheap drop forward. (I don't need anything to crazy)

and wow, I never knew you could do that to a mini mag lite!
<img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif" alt="" />
cool.

nick: spyder??? why dude!? why would you buy one! ions are the best affordable tourney style markers.
(I'm just kidding with you, everyone has their taste in guns, i just hate spyders. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif" alt="" />)

lol
mac: are you kidding me? I'm used enough barrels to know they do improve accuracy. (and I'veonly used a few!!)
they do effect range, although their are alot of other factors.

bolts do help though, I have an aftermarket powertube and front bolt (idk how good it is, cause it wasn't something I was really shopping around for, I just saw one and got it) and it is a little more accurate for sure.

other than that, alot of it is paint to barrel match.
<img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif" alt="" />
from my limited experience.

and: I kind of want a 5.5 inch barrel, just to throw in my pocket or something in case I don't need a long barrel thats going to get in the way)

...
I really want to see Hd's next folder... really bad!
(random I know, but it's kind of killing me)

Well of course if you have a 5in barrel you will be less accurate but the bolt is what is really throwing the ball, the barrel just channels the gas I geuss you could say.
If you have a 5in barrel the gas doesnt have time to even itself out and the ball has less power which makes it more sensitive to wind and and dirt in the barrel.
Rifled barrels do inprove accuracy but most barrels advertised as rifled are not actually rifled.

E-grips are terrible, I dont know why tippman would put something so sucky on such a good marker.

Some spyders are good, I have fallen in love with their MR series after seeing how simple they are.

channeling the gas/ball is a pretty big deal and a major part of accuracy.
but yeah, the bolt really helps.
I wasn't talking about compared to a 5 inch barrel though BTW.

I liked the MR's at first... until I held one.
*barf!*
the ergos of a brick, I swear.
and I don't know how you can get more simple than an a5.

I take it your e-grip is giving you problems???
mine used to too.

they have come out with a few different ones, i really love mine.

on the rare occasions I do play (well, I actually i'm going to be playing once a month for these nwxt few months) I play from 12-7. with like 5 minutre breaks between games.
(if that)
so I'm getting better fast.
but I'm still not too good.

i checked the manufacturer's specs, they rate it 140. "over 100" didn't seem right.

i'd say a 2c mag or greater with the terralux ministar5 extreme drop in will serve anyone's purposes for a while before needing fresh batteries. you want tiny, get a cr123a powered light. if you can tolerate some mass, get the 4d mag.

cheaper to get the mag with the led, too.

Yeah the MRs are ugly, the mr2 and 3 are better though.

E grips suck, the board lasted one season.
