spent most of friday afternoon and all of saturday outdoors, but mostly on chores and on getting organized for my float trip that starts this wednesday. can't complain. how was your day afield?

Float trips are a blast!

My day afield was short. I did one highly targeted photo-shoot (it was good, though), and then neglected everything else, in order to spend time with the woman of my dreams, whom I mentioned, above.

just dropped the family off at the airport. they're going to hawaii. i'm taking finals.

That sucks, your family is going to Hawaii and your stuck at home taking finals! But I feel you, all my friends are at a beach house for the weekend (coming home some time today) while I'm stuck at home studying for finals (1 tomorrow and last 1 wednesday!!). I did go up yesterday and came home at night, had a couple beers and jumped in the water. At the beach, this family next to us forgot to bring their lighter to start a BBQ so they asked us if he had a lighter. I had my mini PSK in my backpack, so I busted out my firesteel. One strike was all it took to get the bbq grill going. They never seen a firesteel before and thought it was some sort of magic wand, or something, haha.

Someone once asked to borrow a knife, so I pulled out a sheeple friendly sak.
The guy cut right through his thuimbnail, he was amazed a knife could be so sharp.

gonna be a long night. i'm at school, at midnight, and the entire campus is empty. i've been at this tax law stuff for two nights and it is no less vacuous.
