I never had study hall. My high school was more like college. when you were done with your classes you could leave.

we also had a "zero" period which was before first period if you wanted to go to school an hour early. We had about 2200 students in 3 grade levels so I guesst that had a lot to do with it. I took AP chem in zero bell, then I left school an hour early.

I've got a 0 period and it is kinda sweet. I get a free sixth which mean I get to leave an hour and a half earlier. (Class and then a Flex period, study hall kinda).
