Currently has a Bushnell 4200 elite 3-9x on it, however I am thinking of putting a 4.5-14x on it instead.

I was pleasantly surprised at the power it had. It might only be a 17gr bullet, but it is sure moving! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif" alt="" />

3-9x is the most useful, i think. 14x might be the ticket for pure bench/varmint applications. speculation, though. 9x is the most i've used.

The more I read and research about guns/rifles. The more I want one, but I must resist. Maybe later down the line when I make more disposable income.

Given the size of the targets (read: gophers) I think the 14x will be a good level. I have a 4.5-14 on my .22 right now and enjoy it. I just can't bring myself to pull the scope off the .22 for the .17 though.

32x !!!! holy cow! one of these days i should get back into rifles. i went shotguns years ago and haven't picked up a rifle since. i'm this close to picking up another couple pistols though.
