News Flash. Dan Koster is no longer with K9 knives. Tom Krein has assumed SOLE ownership. Can't say I didn't see it coming. I wish both of them the best and I'm sure there will be tons of great knives from both of them.

Always a risk starting a business with a friend. Yep, that's for sure. I've been there and done that. Fortunately we are still good friends. I think Dan just has to many things going on to focus on a start up venture. They also had their own knife biz going in addition to K9 and there are only so many hours in the day.

Not to mention the insane number of knives Dan has been selling with his batch system. I have been wanting to order a custom survivor style blade, but the list is awfully long. That being said, an 18" blade survivor seems so tempting... <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif" alt="" />

interesting. we don't really have a sample to see what effect this will have to the designs and such but i'm curious what changes will result.

They both look pretty good.
