not that i don't appreciate the work that goes into it, but i think that the effort that goes into a tapered tang is a bit of a waste. in this case it seems right as it's a shorter chopper and the lighter handle helps send the weight forward, but most of the time i don't get it.

I agree that it is beautiful, but now that M22 has brought my attention to it, I can't stop noticing the tapered tang. It seems a lot of effort for little gain. Not that I still wouldn't buy one, mind you.

Ban started this one a year ago and just recently finished it. Not sure how long he's been making knives, but he's making them on his free time. This was one of his prototypes with the taperd tang, he is now switching to a skeleton tang; gives the same effect, but takes way less time.

he is kinda turning into a mike stewart there!

lol
I just noticed he uses everything mike does. (kinda) convex grind, skeletonized tang and A2.

tapered tangs are hard to make for what they are.
but it is cool to see that alot of work went into the knife.
