The reason I got it so fast was because I was suppose to be being HW all those late night death chats.

I can't wait for the next SY, I have a feeling it should be coming out soon too. Busse should be coming out with the SFNO, Swamp Rat already announced a new rodents in the works, and Dan said there should be something.

RussMo over in the Busse section of BF just posted a thread of a set of pants with Grey Cane Frog leather inlay done by Jeff (rainwalker), absolutely beautiful.

Here are the pictures

Is anybody surprised by this? One gets the impression that Rainwalker's default mode of operation is perfection, and that something he made which was merely "very good" would be a major news event. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbup.gif" alt="" />

Jeff's leather sheaths are just beautiful, the detail work is just amazing.

Right now the two top knives I'm in the hunt for is the DFCG and tan Camp Tramp. Hopefully I can get them soon. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/crossfingers.gif" alt="" />

Why the CG, out of curiosity? I've never handled the LE version but it would be interesting. Many people seem to prefer the LE for being lighter and more agile, saying it's a totally different knife...

Unless of course you already have an LE, and just want to round out your collection. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/crazy.gif" alt="" />

The CG is saber ground, which means it has more meat in the middle, so if I were planning to fully convex it someday (from spine to edge) it would work out better. The LE is full flat, so only the edge can be convexed (unless serious metal is removed). Plus I like coating on some knives and it's cheaper.

They are both excellent knives, and shining examples of "superior performance to price ratio". <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbup.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbup.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" />

it's black (cool looking <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/tongue.gif" alt="" /> ), less expensive, and being coated it
has better corrosion resistance, heavier (different grind as stated),
and not so pretty as an LE

which for me is a better user (I don't cry when I scratch it!).

Today, a very tasty brew from Brasserie Duyck Jenlain Biere De Noel, 750ml, 6.8% ABV, a Biere de Garde style brew. Got the grill going, will have some Kabobs.
