I need to see prices before I can decide if I'll be participating, or if I'll be staying away from the computer myself.

I'm hoping for some pretty good deals on the military overruns. Standard HRs should be less than $300 based on the $287 Comp Finish release; I bought G10 Mag HR overruns for $350 last year.

I lost the BRKT Forester auction earlier today, but won auctions on a pair of ROS Arms knives, a Federal-Super and a Taiga. They ended up costing more than I hoped they would due to others bidding on them, but less than they would have cost from a distributor at just over $90 each. It would have been nice to have gotten the Federal-Super at the $65 opening bid, but that was too good to expect.

I've never priced FSH before; they seem to be priced pretty dearly on the Exchange, but I'm hoping that's because almost all the ones I've seen have been Custom Shop pieces. I'm specifically looking for CG/Military Overruns, so I'm hoping for reasonable prices (but that'll probably come with very limited availability).

The Yard remains amazingly quiet [listen for the sound of crickets chirping in the background -- well, maybe that's my power supply fan].

SURGERY SUCKS!!!!!!!!!!! I just had carpal tunnel as well as Ulnar nerve transposition surgery yesterday morning on my dominant hand/arm and I am having to do everything with my left hand/arm.
All this and I just got in a new Dogfather LE as well as some other knives I was wanting to give a work out. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/banghead.gif" alt="" /> I guess that'll have to wait.
I will try to post up some pics of the new blades though within the next few days.

Don't do anything that'll cause more damage. The knives will wait for a workout. My advise would be to take whatever time is needed; if you rush things, it'll just take longer to get well.

OFF TOPIC: My day was spent mostly car shopping. My Mom felt a strong desire to buy another car today -- hers was approaching 100K miles, although in pretty good shape. However, my brother and his wife had a baby recently, and Mom plans to be making several trips per year up to Chicago to visit. [I'll wait for them to come down here, but I'm socially stunted.] Anyway, she really liked a Chevy Impala that she test drove earlier this year. At the time, it was leader-priced at $10,900; I don't remember the other specifics - I think it may have been an '05 or '06 with mid-30K, low-40K miles.
Today, the salesman at that dealership wouldn't come done from $16K on an '07 Impala with mid-30K miles. The next place we tried had a used '08 Chevy Malibu with 19K miles for less than $11K -- it was a good value, but that car had less power than her current Buick Century, and the interior felt low-end. It would have been adequate, low mileage transportation, but certainly didn't sing to her. She also test drove an '05 Lacrosse -- it was pretty good, but she preferred the Impala.
We tried another dealer, which had a good condition lease-return '06 Impala with low-30K miles. They came down to just a bit over $11K and allowed $2500 on her old car, so she bought it. I didn't necessarily think she should buy on the same day she decided to start looking, but that's what she wanted to do, so that's what she did. I think she got a pretty good deal, but might have done better if she shopped around a bit more. However, she likes the car and I guess that's what's important.

Jim - if your Mom is happy with the car, then that IS what's important! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbup.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" />
