M40 has got himself a dog father.
http://www.m4040.com/Knifemaking/Sheaths/Sheaths.htm

Before the DFLE was released I told him about scrap yard knives and how I had been beating the hell out of my only scrapper at the time(the tan hook).
He said he liked the looks of the dog father but didn't believe in fad steels.
Well, right after I got that email the DFLE was anounced I tipped him off to it and it looks like he took interest.

That's funny because S7 has been around for a long time and is far from being a "fad" steel. Jerry just heat treats it in such a manor that it makes an excellent blade. As far as that goes, 52100(SR101) isn't a fad steel either. You just do not see a lot of makers using it because to get the heat treat right on it is tricky. Needless to say Jerry Busse is a master at the heat treating process so that is why he makes all of his steels shine whether they be INFI, SR77, SR101, 154CM, etc...

The DFLE is definitely one of the all time best choppers at any price, but when you consider what they originally sold for you just can't beat them!

whoa! that is a classy knife, snotpig!

think your sister will mind that the knife she'll cut the cake with is inscribed with a contraction of 'snot' and 'pig?'

The recon is a BA knife.

I'm thinking of selling my MT Curahee. I got it right before I bought my CW and haven't touched it (the MT) since.
