Hey ,
What do you think of Obama's merit pay for school teachers. I dont have kids in school (don't have kids period..yet), I think it's a mistake. Pay raises yes across the board no...there are other metrics to measure. I would think a good teacher would be one that loves the job and is driven by that something special, thus excelling. Not monetary driven.....I can see the A's flying and the cheating at a top down level. If you say state or federal test scores well, then they are taught to test and not to understand the fundementals.
Mag? any input?

It's the best costume for Halloween.
Mag's gone, something about sleep...
I think our school system needs a complete revamp. It has to start early, before kindergarten. I know this may sound crazy but personally, I think kids should be in school longer. Longer days that is. Send a kid to an empty home because both parents are working and you can bet for the most part that kid will not be studying.

Mag? any input? ive had plenty of teachers with degrees but no degrees/certs in teaching who were better than certed teachers. have you loved every job you've done? why should a teacher be any different? teachers are underpaid and if you think they are overpaid then you should home school your children.
