When I was in Europe I found food was more expensive than here. The thing is I have the option to eat good food from local restaurants. Fresh, tasty, more healthy. I have read that fast food has not gone up in price as much as other food is so it is a realative "bargain". We have the option of eating healthy or at home I don't think it is McDonalds fault. They actually have the nutrition facts on the backs of the little paper that covers your tray if you care to look.
With that said I am not a fast food guy. But blaming the food for making Rosie fat is a mistake. That gun didn't pull its own trigger either etc etc.
Fast food is also just that...fast! Convenience is what they sell.

Even convenience doesn't have to be particularly unhealthy. For example, sub sandwich shops are thick on the ground over here, and a sub is a hella lot better for you than a Big Mac or grease-laden fries. Most of the fast food places sell salad too.
