I must be missing posts earlier on price??
I live on my own in the hills so when doing weights I just leave the locking collars off...I can then tilt the bar and drop the weights off one side if need be....need to press in the garage though...they would mess up a none cement floor in the house!!
Yes, you can certainly dump weights if you need to, but don't think that you can't hurt yourself doing that, because you can.
Speaking of weight lifting, we had a local area 17yr old kid Squat 800 pounds earlier this week. His name is Lorenzo Barnes and he lifts for Burkburnett,TX high school. I have gone and watched him work out and he is amazing. He will be trying to beat the USAPL Teen 16-17 all american high school squat record at the state meet which is 804 pounds and was set in 1990 by Jason Wisner.
Lorenzo has done as much as 820, so I'm thinking there's a good chance he'll be bringing that record home.
