I'll put pics up of the 3V blade when it finally is finished - in 3 hours. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/crazy.gif" alt="" /> Is 3V as expensive as I have heard. Guy over on Blade forums had some bars for sale. 37 inches long,.27 thick,.20 wide. $100.00 ???

I got this piece, 10" x 1.5" x 3/16", for about $20. So, that sounds about right.
Yeah, it's alot more than A2 - what I usually work with.
It does grind pretty easily, though.

Just realized that I changed my settings so more posts show on any given page. Thus we are on page 676. Before, I was like wondering about the 1000th page. Lol, duh.

I thought I would post what a handy little combo this is as I have been using it a bit recently and find it very impressive.... ![[Linked Image from i343.photobucket.com]](http://i343.photobucket.com/albums/o445/SteelFan-Infi/P1000607.jpg) Nice and handy to just slip in a jacket pocket when going out for a walk....the little fixed blade is by Hiro Itou a custom Japanese maker...made from R2 Damascus steel...the edge it takes is phenomenal...you can honestly use this knife as a scalpel...it's nice and easy to boil out as well...fit's perfect into one of my mess tins...good for food prep and the handle is big enough for a four finger grip...3.25 inch blade...that and the mid size SAK make for a great little versatile set up...the KSF pocket sheath is a great idea... ![[Linked Image from i343.photobucket.com]](http://i343.photobucket.com/albums/o445/SteelFan-Infi/P1000608.jpg)

That's a nice pocket combo, Peter. I am going to have Jeff make me something to carry my HG55LE. I know its a bit large for an EDC, but I plan on carrying it. And I always have a SAK on me.
Horned, dangerous, and off my medication.

That is a pretty combo.
Actually got to handle some knives from Martin Knives at the Gun Show. Another great Texas knife maker. They had a new series of field knives coming out that are not quite as finely finished as some of their other stuff but have the same heat treat etc.
Nice guys too.
For me, the one custom I have, well I bought one and one was gifted, are enough.
I like a solid company backing my toys if they break...thank you Busse.
