Vic, I just might send you some more blades. I think some convex edges would look good on the Muk and this Golok. Does yours have a convex edge?

klink, how long has the blade been out? i got this 0170-6 golok that needs an edge put back on....maybe ill just get a mousepad......

art what kinda trees were you chopping on? i also suggest getting the Sharpshooter drop leg attatchment from KSF mine came in today. makes carrying way esier

Haha! I was trying to pull the hawaiian-rasta action shot with it!

Seriously though, my swings were nowhere near as hard as I've done with other blades. I think a big part of it was the very thin edge.

It was a mesquite. Soft and green.

It is a full convex zero grind. They are all done by hand, so some will naturally be ground thinner than others. They are fantastic choppers, but a thin edge is easier to damage.

A leather on wood strop with compound is fast and easy on my golok. I guess the mousepad method would work as well.
