i took a trip by the gun counter yesterday myself. i eyeballed the .500, .454, and .44's. one day i might snag a cannon but right now i'm wanting a fnp45 usg. they only have the older models everywhere i look and the guys i've asked to order me one wont call me back. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/frown.gif" alt="" /> i think i'll wait a month and call fn directly to find out what i can do.
oh.. and i impluse bought a 10/22 to mod into a cool plinker.

I was thinking about getting a bull barrel for my 10/22. I wonder though, do you think it really makes that much of a difference?

I was thinking about getting a bull barrel for my 10/22. I wonder though, do you think it really makes that much of a difference? Yep, I put a Volquartsen barrel on mine a few years back and it is sweet. If I did it again, I'd get a Carbon Fiber barrel with an insert or a fluted barrel. It makes the gun really front-heavy.

i've actually been reading a little info on that tonight. from what i've seen on rimfirecentral the biggest reason to upgrade the barrel is to tighten up tolerances which does slightly improve the performance. and the .920 barrels do look cool as hell if that makes any difference...

Yeah, I didn't care for the old barrel either. I guess how much it improves performance is subject to both previous and new barrel performance. Mine was much better.
