They had a real nice one here for 499 and the new charger and battery was like 220?

IJ, I know what you mean about the laptop tip deal. My cord has the be bent just right or it doesn't get the power to the battery. I have the ext warranty on the computer but I bought it through Circut City and since they closed the party that handles warranty is a PIA. I have about decided to just buy a new chord and say screw it.

If you are in the market for a new laptop, go on Sunday when the new ad starts and get the good laptops before they are gone for the week. Go with HP or Toshiba; just my opinion!!! EDIT: Oh, and never go for the cheapest one. Often for maybe $100 more, you will get a computer with MUCH greater capabilities. All the sub $400 laptops might as well say disposable on them.

Circuit City, same deal. I had the extended warranty too. It has been a great machine though for about 5 years.

5 year old pc.. i tell people all the time that upgrading won't hurt them. 4 maybe 5 years max on a personal pc and 2 years if you use it for processor taxing work. of course you can still use them but it's just fairly out dated.
