I did the whole meat-only diet for about a year in college. I put on 20 good pounds. How I feel and what I eat before I lift plays a huge role in how much I can lift. I've always heard that sugar before a workout makes it horrible, at least it holds true for me. I haven't put on 20 pounds since about 8th grade. I will weigh tomorrow and see where I'm at, hopefully I have gained a little.
