Steak, dang that sounds good. We only eat out about 4 times a month and it looks like tonight the wife wants to go to Outback on a "date". I'm always tempted buy their 8 dollar fruity cocktails but I can buy 12 High Lifes for thatat HEB(and thats the plan).

man i want steak......its been a while since i've made my Jack daniels steaks.....

at over $12 for a little 5 oz steak (and not a verr good one) i shy away form them. Chicken is cheaper, (not by much) and tastes just fine drunken in jack daniels, rubbed with paprika and sage and then seared on the grill, then slow grilled.

It cost me over $25 for two 1.5 lb t-bones.

The H-D Sportster is the world's first superbike. It was based on the old K model flat head 45 cu in racing bike (750cc) with a stroked OHV with oversized valves and high compression pistons. The older models even have the shifter on the right side for racing around flat tracks (go fast, turn left). It has four separate camshafts, which are easy to change for different track conditions. If you look closely, you will notice that the pushrod covers are parallel on each cylinder, unlike the big twins. Call it double under head cams. In 1966 a bone stock XLCH of 883 cc out dragged the Corvette, doing the 1/4 in around 12.5 seconds. But it is a bar hopper now. The big Jap bikes just ate it alive in 1969, starting with the Honda CB750, and then the big Kawasaki 900 DOHC four. It is still a potent and fun machine. I have owned two of them, both in the old iron jug models and the new Evos. But for the open road, then as now, you need a hog!

The newer belt drive 5-speed sporties are just fine for solo touring. Great and classic pure motorcycles. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbup.gif" alt="" /> But for two-up touring, the hog still rules.

No, leave it on and put a sleeping bag on it to lean against. Then, later, you can pick up a hardbelly and pin her to the sissy bar on your way to the motel.
