We could take it one step further and go with something in a scratch and sniff. Nothing like a little aromathreapy before interogation.

Fresh chopped pine scent.......<img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />

Or it could smell like a fine liquor. It could be called...Scotch and sniff. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/loopy.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif" alt="" />

Would you mind commenting on this if you see it Dan?

The great logo debate..... just wondering what your views are.

Thank you Sir <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />

The main reason for the logo not being on all of the knives is to keep them sterile for our military customers.

Additionally, there is a small cost saving in not spending the time to add the logo but more importantly it eliminates a step in the production to increase turn around.

Since you know that I am all about performance the logo does not add or detract from its capability, so getting the knives out and available takes honors over looks.

You will see the logo on certain runs when our military customers will not be affected.

I hope this helps

Dan

Reading between the lines. I will have to order a 2nd DF on the next run as there may be a military order in this first run.

12 years in the Corps and the only cool thing I ever got to keep was my gortex jacket and Camelback. No knives, especially not a Scrap Yard or Busse.

My scratch and sniff logo smell I will not bother posting, but it is something you don't smell when you are in the field with men for several weeks! javascript:void(0)

Thanks Dan.......
I think that pretty much sums it up. At least you make the logo on certain runs for those of us who enjoy seeing and having the logo. Both our military friends, and the "logo lovers" can be happy this way. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbup.gif" alt="" />

I can understand the "no logo" principle for the smaller knives, but do the military folks buy the 10inch<img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/ooo.gif" alt="" /> heavy chopper? <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/confused.gif" alt="" />
Just curious!

Your right about a 2nd DF!!! I don't know if I can handle only one!

And I got a few nore "souveniers" from my service...2 Ballsitic vest. 2 Kevlar helmets, a slew of gear/clothing and others.

And I know that smell well. Something about MREs and the human digestive system! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/barf.gif" alt="" />

I got to keep only that for which I paid. Which for me ended up being my dress blues, other uniforms, and some other goodies. I even had to turn in my wet-suit. Keep in mind that it was custom made and tailored for my measurements only. I don't think they liked it when I cut is up in front of them so it couldn't be used again. "Sir, naval regulations state that when an issued item is an on skin object such as a wet-suit it must be destroyed when the service member leaves." Oh well, I guess that's what happens when you're a pain in the butt tot he higher ups.

Just so we are clear. The standard Dog Father will not have the logo
