Dog’s:

I want to thank you for your kind words and prayers that you put in for our family. Theresa, our oldest, was rushed to the Intensive Care Unit with severe DKA (Diabetes). This was a complete surprise to us as well as the doctors. It was touch and go for several days. The Doctors and Nurses at the Texas Children Hospital did some amazing things to pull our little girl through this situation.

Clearly your prayers made a huge difference.

Now that we have her home, things are settling down.

We will begin shipping Dog Fathers this weekend and should be on track with our original promise to ship in 7 to 14 days.

Once again, Patti and I would like to thank you for your support and patience during this trying time.

You know, they say if it does not kill you it will make you stronger.......at this point I need to ask the next logical question "What the heck am I going to do with this much strength"

Indebted to you
Dan and Patti

Best thing I've heard all day. Tell Theresa that the Dogs wish her a speedy recovery.

I've been through the kid-scare thing more than once. It ain't no fun.

Dan - That is really wonderful news - I am happy and relieved for you and Patti. Please pass along all the best wishes from Theresa's "extended family" to her, and let her know that MANY people are pulling for her! Tom

Juvenile onset diabetes is serious stuff.

Make sure she follows a strict diet and blood sugar testing routine.

Good habits now will help her avoid complications later (like vision loss, insulin resistance, etc.)

Also make sure she is pretty closely supervised untill she becomes very good at regulating her blood sugar. I almost lost my father when he had a low blood sugar. I called him on his cell phone but he was too disoriented to tell me where he was.

I think they make cell phones that can track people. It might be a good thing to have. When my father had his low, 911 couldn't even triangulate his signal.

Arf arf arf... That's my other dog impression.
