Hey All!
I just wanted to comment on the Fit & Feel of the grip on the Scapper6. I have alot of knives that I thought felt good, but this material and geometry fit my hand so well. I can swing this Pooch all day if needed. I can't seem to put it down. I am hoping the Dogfather has the same fit and feel. I am wondering what info the scrapyard folks used to develope this combination? [color:"blue"] [/color]

Thanks, I have read that back when I ordered. I am just saying that for my particular hand, the fit is just awsome. My question is basically, What was used to design the grip geometry. I always thought I had a large hand. So was a large hand person in mind or wearing a glove when using this knife or is it middle ground design to accomadate the masses. As for the Res-C I work in the Plastics and Polymers field and found the material of the grip to be rather cool and interesting. Thanks for the response...

I think the handle on the S6 was first made for the Busse Taliwhacker.

It was used in the Swamp Rat Battle Rat, Camp Tramp and Ratchet.

So far there are only 4 or 5 variations of the Resiprene-C handle. The Busse Basics had one or two versions. Swamp Rat had the mudder, the large handle like the S6 and a smaller handle which looks fairly similar.

From what I have heard, the tooling for a Resiprene-C handle is fairly expensive. I don't think we will see any new handles.

As for the shape of the grip, I think it was inspired by the Busse Straight Handle from the Steel Heart 1.

Arf arf arf... That's my other dog impression.

feel free to correct me but I think the Ratchet had the smaller Res-C handel like the howling rat and bandicoot.

You are corrected, it has the larger handle.
