I'd like one to just fall in my lap somehow, but I really need to be saving for the waki...

Everyone needs a regulator I would skip the scandi grind though That is what Lile's bowies had and it is so easy to sharpen in the field. Seems like a big plus for me.

I've been looking for a ZT0301 or ZT0302, but I don't wanna pay $235 for one... You gotta hunt! I actually, after selling the SOD LE, I was just browsing, and I saw it on JD forums; used for $155. I picked up a ZT0301 second at Blade for $175. Just a little flaw in the camo paint job is all I can see wrong with it. Sure is fun to flick open.
Horned, dangerous, and off my medication.

Convex is easy to sharpen in the field too - I've stropped mine on a plain leather belt with good results. Plus, a convex edge is much sturdier for the tasks I'd use a Bowie for... I would be hesitant to baton or chop on a scandi, but have done both on my regulator. I can't wait to reprofile the flat ground edge to a nice convex, so my reg will be even more awesome than it already is!

Nice score Vic, great price.
MM, I think a heavy scandi grind would be pretty tough and much easier to fully service in the field with a good stone.

Convex is certainly tougher.

Picked up this awesome XM-18 at Blade and flicking it open is QUITE addicting. I have a nice callous forming on my thumb now. Now to figure out what to do with my SnG that is no longer feeling the love?!?
Edited > Just noticed that this is post #1111... nice.
