If my spelling and grammar structure is a little off more than normal I apologize. My blood sugar level was just 66. That is why I have not went off on any walk-a-bouts by myself since i got out of the hospital. I just don't trust myself when it does this.

Evo - that is a very articulate and eye-opening perspective on your craft. I now understand why they intend to burn you at the stake like all good pioneers in thought. I think that I grasp a bit of the motive. This thought of yours resonated, in particular "a primary concern with artistic expression will involve every aspect of your picture, and thereby override and subsume design for its own sake". As I read through your argument, it made me think about the universe, and despite the chaos of its creation and the forces that constantly expand it or send parts into crushing eternal darkness; the symmetry, structure and beauty that naturally flows within it, completely beyond our feeble abilities to influence and control. It is sheer arrogance for us to think that we can prescribe a more proper frame of reference. As I said in your outdoor thread: "Nature has spoken".

Thank you for sharing your brilliance with us.

That's my take.

To which a few a have been enthusiastically receptive, and most of the rest have been hostilely antagonistic. BUT most of those who have been hostilely antagonistic have said that they don't think my pictures break the rules, and said that they still see how they can apply the rules to my pictures. To which I've told them, as politely as I could, that they seem to have missed my points.

So, now I'm about to try to explain to them a different way.

All this from the dehydration? Be careful Sumo. Good thing you are checking yourself. Reminds me, I should get my blood work done.

Thanks for posting that Evo

I would love to learn to take better pics. All I have is a little portable digital camera and every once in a while I get lucky with a good pic. I need to read up on it more and try for a better camera and see what kind of fun/trouble I can get into. Just like the belt sander I plan on doing it.

I am glad you appreciated it. I will share more, when I finish it, a little later, tonight. At the moment, I'm going to throw some food in the oven.

BRB.

The "rules" seem more for an Olan Mills photohack than for someone capturing naturescapes and so on.

Don't worry about us. Take care of yourself.

Ha! Evo is confused. Let us show him how he fits in our world.
Good luck with that lot. I think it will require some SR-77 to pry open those minds.

That is what got me where I am at, my pancris quite working so I am a diabetic now. Thre were other signs before but this was what put me into the hospital. Just a change it the way I have to do things. I can not wait to get it all stabilized so I can head out on a few day walk/camp. The wife loves me, and is getting into the going out and camping bit (in a tent) but only when it is cooler--no summer stuff for her.

In science, they call the "rules" game the difference between a hypothesis and a fact. Until proven, a hypothesis is nothing more than (hopefully, at least) an educated guess based on observation. It's not accepted as fact until scientifically proven. It's not an "innocent until proven guilty" paradigm that we use in the realm of facts.
