i also dig dads dirty knees and only having one arm up on his sleeves...great shot!! Yes, I liked that when I saw it. I saw it when I was making the picture, but I didn't include it in my discussion, because it was not an aspect of the composition that I had control over.

I know you mentioned earlier that you can teach it, but some thing can't really be taught or truly understood if the foundation can't be perceived in the first place by the student. It's certainly not my area of expertise, but I think you might be operating from a level of creative cognition that is beyond many of those you humbly call peers. Can they possibly engage you and pacify you in either the positive or negative sense?
It reminds me of the late William F. Buckley, with some of his Firing Line debates. He was usually bored with everyone but the most agile and astute thinkers. His medium was words; the pen. Few could withstand him in debate, and he often took the side of discussion that he fundamentally opposed just to make things interesting.
I have no point whatsoever to this comment. You are way out of my league.

I have no point whatsoever to this comment. You are way out of my league. It's an interesting question. Is this trying to explain music to the deaf? I do think that there are some with extremely handicapped cognition skills in regard to art. In my opinion, my father is one of them. However, I am convinced that is not the norm, but the exception. I think most people have this within them, if they develop it. Also,I think it would be a poorer choice to assume the worst in terms of their abilities, rather than the best.
