I have a Snugpak Softie Elite 1 sleeping bag that weighs a bit over 2 pounds. It's long enough, but it's "snug" in it's width and only rated to about 44 degrees.

I'm trying to find a bag that's light-ish, packs small, but is big enough and warm enough and I'm having a hard time finding the best of all categories.

Either too heavy, or not warm and large enough (ie. comfortable).

cant go wrong with SNUGPAK! man those are nice bags!. Good enough for my buddy Andy who is a retired Squaddie from the UK MOD.

I can't help, there. The right compromise for you mighht be different than the right compromise for me.

By the way: I have a Western Mountaineering Antelope Super Gore-Tex extra long.

It weighs a little under 3 pounds, is a 0 degree F bag, and is snug.
