I got my dog father yesterday. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" /> I took it straight out to chop. I split some wood no problem. chopped down a few dead trees. It was begging for more. So I gave it more, A seventy foot pine! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/ooo.gif" alt="" /> Haha. It ate the wood like it was starving. This knife is a beast! Pics soon. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" /> Now if I can just get someone to show me how to sharpen a convex edge. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/confused.gif" alt="" />

Way to go, Bubba. Looks like it chops pretty well as it is. I got a 1" X 24" el cheapo belt sander last year. Practiced on cheap machetes. Took all safety guards as stuff off of it so I could use the whole belt and get wide blades into it. I do it totally free-hand. So far, I have managed to make some nice convex edges. Got to have some slack in the belt to do it right. I'm not a machinist, so you might do better listening to a pro. I got a Dog Father coming soon!

After looking at those picture I cannot help but think that you've got issues man. So on that note I won't be showing anyone what I've done with my DF so far, I'd probably be committed.
