Eric posted that there were a few left over from the last shipment that he has put up for sale.

Same here, but I saw it on the BF: Swamp Rat sub-forum, so I passed the info along.

If I didn't have a Rat Mastiff, I'd be all over one, but I do, and I'm not.

The DFLE saved me from the ASH1 as well.

Perhaps it's just personal preference, but I don't see why so many people are excited about the ASH1. I guess that it would be OK as an expensive, medium-sized kitchen knife, but I think it's too big to be either concealable or sheeple-friendly, but too small to be a very effective camp knife. When I saw it at Knob Creek, my thoughts were like in the movie "Road House", where people kept saying to Dalton, "I thought you'd be bigger". Oh well, to each their own.

I have a RM too, but I still can't wait for a Chopweiler and DFLE. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif" alt="" />

"Road house" ... now there is a blast from the past!

bld522 ... i'm with you on that ASH-1 ... think it's an awesome blade ... just too highly priced for this time of the year ... still need to pay for vacation at the beach, xmas gifts, etc. etc. if it came at another time i'd pick one up. Although i agree with Jim it's a bit big for and EDC, but it's still an amazing blade.
