IMO, the DFLE is the epitome and the new standard for what a Scrap Yard knife is. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/bowdown.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbup.gif" alt="" />

Brute strength steel that is good enough for many tasks, but so hard to beat as a BIG Chopper! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbup.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/bowdown.gif" alt="" />

Some may feel that a CG would better epitomize Scrap Yard, but I personally always prefer satin.

So, for my part, I am very thankful that this knife was brought at what I consider a very good and reasonable price for a knife such as this - AND with a satin finish that I prefer.

I can't really justify the purchase as I have a few great Swamp Rat choppers and I have more way more bills than funds right now, but I couldn't resist.

.... I will be busy selling more stuff to compensate. But, happy to do so in this case.

I have been waiting for this knife about as long as I have known about Scrap Yard. I passed on the original DF waiting for this. I am sure it will be worth the wait.

Thanks!

This will make for a great Christmas - .... more than I deserve, but who's counting. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" />

Actually, I thought the price was great. It is still low enough, that I consider it a 'bargain', which I felt the original bowie was.

Copy that KG. Minus the selling stuff part. My kids will get dust busters instead of new bikes but...

For a 10" knife like the DFLE Dan really gave us an awesome price. Very impressive considering all the finishing work needed! I can't wait to get this Bad Dog in my hands.

Plus I get to try out the new Kydex sheath. Thank you SantaDanandPatti. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

at first pondering....i had thought i needed to be happy with my recent YardHook purchase...then i saw the price for this release

i was sold right off the line.......

but it was the quality and brute massiveness of my hook that sold me on the DFLE

Doug,

I agree with you, whole heartily.

We have all waited a long time, but at this price, I think I can safely say it was worth it.

The DF was what lured me to the Busse kin knives... It showed me what could be had with $139.95... Kudos to Dan!
