I think they may be available for a while since it seems alot of folks are having a hard time financially this year it seems. I know I cannot afford one as much as I would like to have one, and I don't have the original. I was planning on buying one when they came out but an unexpected hospital stay and major operation have put me unable to work since October, and I don't know when I may be able to go back to work.

Thank goodness that's over. I don't know if I could have lasted out the day without ordering another.

I'm glad the temptation has gone... It was getting harder to resist.

Nope. Unless the store is just taking a breather, the DFLE is officially sold out! Which means it's time to start thinking about what's next . . . yard guard le, yard guard le please <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/crossfingers.gif" alt="" />

Paul it sounds like you married a far to rational woman to buy into the "it's shiny I must have it" thought process. I have a hunch that part of my brain is exactly like a Ravens that also likes shiny things.
I do think the flat ground and thinner LE's are a improvement over the originals. Probably not by enough to make it worthwhile to by both but I definitly like the new Mutt much better the the original. I am also rather impressed that Dan listened to our criticisms as well as the compliments. I thought the scrappers needed a thinner blade and a higher flatter edge. I actually sold both my DFCG and original Mutts because I did not like them as much as the Hooker and especially the SS4.
