i was surprised when in the 40 minutes between ordering PoP's knife, which i think was one of the first ten sold, and ordering my own, only about 50 dfle's had sold. Some orders may have been for more than one knife, Magnum. I think the DFLE will eventually become one of the most sought after big knives made. It represents the the ultimate in Scrap Yard knives. Given the work it took to make them, I don't expect to see anything this big in satin again from the Yard for a long time, if ever. I am tickled that I got in on this offering. There is still time to get a few more HD.
When you care enough to use only the best...stick'em with a SKYCO knife.

Call me a hopeless Bowie fanatic, but I have dreamed of this knife!
Horned, dangerous, and off my medication.

I would have loved to have purchased one, but finances didn't provide for it. Fortunately, I have my CGDF to keep me company. I still wish I could help take some of the DFLE off of Dan's hands!

My internet was down when the DFLE was offered, but a fellow dog covered for me. I ordered another yesterday. As it so happened, a fellow dog who is serving in a remote place had tried to contact me to get him one while my internet and phone line was dead. I answered his email before I realized that the DFLEs were still available. I sent him another that said I have one coming for him. He will be thrilled to find out that he didn't miss out. There are bound to be more people that for one reason or another cannot not order one now. I just don't think they will be available for very long.
Horned, dangerous, and off my medication.

My budget is just too stretched with holiday season here, so I had to pass even though I know I'm missing out on something great

I think maybe there were a lot less speculator/flippers this time out.
Ib think this one will be like the Rat Mastiff. The RM was a bit before my time but is stil a much sought after yet rarely seen knife.
I had some cash saved so I bought 4 DFLE's. 2 for myself and 2 for trades down the line. I usually buy one extra but this was such a important knife and I like the feeling of helping out someone who missed out. I also picked up a sheath even though I plan to have a rig made for my pair from leather. Can't wait to see them in person.

My wife is using my (very) underused DF CG to (figuratively!) hit me over the head with in the 'can I have one' argument.. Not good..

Bruce, I did kind of play the big tough do anything survival knife card for the DF CG.. Arguments of but this one is an LE with a zero edge so it will be amazingly sharp and outperform my CG fell on deaf ears! The other half was heard to mutter I should get on with sharpening the CG! (For the sake of balance I must say my wife loves my SS4 and tries to adopt it every time we go hiking so she does 'get' knives!)
