Very simple question, from a simplier individual. HOW DO YOU POST A AVITAR????
I am sick of trying to figure something out without guidance, when I'm not a cumputer wiz to begin with.

Pick what you want for an avatar.

Resize it to 150x150 max.

Upload it to a host like imageshack.us or tinypic.com. Copy the URL they provide as a DIRECT link to the image.

Go here: http://www.scrapyardknives.com/ubbthreads/editbasic.php?Cat=
Paste the direct link to the image in the "URL to your avatar (150x150 max pixels, may be smaller) (.gif, .jpg, .png accepted)" field.

(not to add any confusion, but I THINK it automatically shrinks your photo - at least it did for my crazy owl picture <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif" alt="" />)

Aaaah, I didn't know that!!

If you right click on your avatar and go to properties you can see the actual size of it. Compare yours to mine!

Mine is only 10x larger than yours.
