I wasn't the biggest supporter of the SR77 sword idea - but - it appears that Jordan not only wants a sword, he needs one! He's been training hard, so I'd feel obliged to pick up a sword or two and set them aside for at least another... 2-3 years before giving it to him?

I don't know where Jordan go it from - running around the house in his skivvies, stabbing stuff... (don't look at me!!!!) - but he's sure having a blast!

I'll vote for the Scrapper Sword on Jordan's behalf!

Nice. You should send a DFLE to Vic & have him put a safety edge on it for Jordan!

That, or we need to contract Dan to make a special DF trainer for him!

Maybe a rubber DF would be good! Jordan goes out w/ me a whole lot when I'm chopping/day camping/picnic BBQing (the wife comes too, sometimes!) - I wouldn't have been surprised if he would have tried batoning that Pepsi box!

when I was a kid, we used to go to this pancake house on sundays and me and my nephew used to gawk at the novelties they sold (pancake house with toys behind the counter, honest it was a good place!) and they had swords, plastic ones and my parents would never get them for us, here a 2 year old has a sword! the world has changed!

My sister got it for him! I've got real knives stashed away for him... Vic Soldier from his birth year (a great idea from Jeeps!), etc. I DO have a plastic Victorinox Bambino in route for both of the boys, though. Christmas presents.

Aaaand, nothing strange about a pancake house w/ toys behind the counter... aren't they all like that?

Where have I seen that before.......LOL

My son is ten and know he like to play with boffers.
Boffers are training swords made with pvc pipe covered in foam insulatiion and wrapped in duct tape. There alot of fun to play with out in the yard.

Great pics! My 6 yr. old is crazy about knives and swords. I don't know where he gets it from.

The other day he was telling a Santa Clause what he wanted for x-mas. He said he needed a new knife, the Santa replied "thats not a nice gift". My son says: but you got me a swiss army knife last year!

I picked up my brother's Christmas gift this past week. Afew weeks ago my dad got himself a fullsize CRKT M-16 and the first thing my brother said is, "I like that do they come a little smaller" so I found one with the "auto lawks" and everything, my brother has been well exposed to knives (good ones too) for many years via my father and my self.

Man the heat treat on his current sword leaves something to be desired. A proper sword would be justified here.

I remember boffers made of Ethafoam carved to sword shape, with a dowel handle. Maybe the technology has moved on, but the old style sounds safer to me.

Ahh the plastic sword problem. To hard & durable and the young ones break things and hurt themselves. Too soft and they bend or break. Halloween is great for this. Visit your local superstore 1 or 2 days after Halloween. I typically pick up swords for less than a buck a piece.
