I'm surprised the doctor would even bring up "the you know what" until he knew something definitive. Saying something like that scares the hell out of loved ones when it may not be the case.

Thank all and my wife says thank you as well. She said that this helps! She also said Woof to all you Dawgs.
We visited him tonight and he is in good spirits. It turns out that he will need surgery tomorrow at 2:30 PM as the did the probe today and said it was a tumor. The need to do the biopsy (sp?) and you know where that can go. It still may turn out to be diverticulitus (sp?) but they are leaning toward tumor. Hopefully in the end it turns out not to be cancer.
