OK - I took two quick pix before she got packed away and wrapped in paper for my Birthday, which is Feb 26. Gonna be a long wait.

The 1st Position sheath Rocks. Really, it does. Looking forward to seeing how it wears on the handle - no sharp edges, but a tight fit. What kind of lube should I use on it? The KY didn't really work. And I don't want to use something that will end up eating the rubber. Thanks guys!

DAN - she's BEAUTIFUL!!!!!!! I'm SO glad I ended up getting one.

You must really LOVE that sheath if you feel the need to use KY

I am glad you like the sheath as I ordered one myself. I would have aready started weaseling trying to say that the sheath is actually for the old DF and should not have to be hidden till the end of FEB

Congrats on your new toy. How does the DFLE feel in the hand compared to the CG version?

We could use a few poses with both knives in your hands in a triumphant flourish?

Lets see...

Yes, the DFLE will be in leather - I have a great pair of leatherface pants for it that I've had my DF in for coming up on a year now. That said, I'll be storing it in the cardboard sheath, as I don't think that naked SR77 really "wants" to be stored in leather.

The DFLE is noticeably lighter than the CG - well, I'll take that back (but not delete it ) because a better way to describe the feeling is that it isn't as forward heavy. Its beautiful, though - stunning. I haven't touched the edge, but it sure looks sharp!

Unsub - you'll like the sheath.

I'll be able to wait until February - I don't think that this is going to replace the CG DF as my "woods" knife - no way. Its too beautiful!

I'd passed on the other LE's, but I'm really glad I was able to score one of these.

And, thanks guys!

Wow!
Those are stunners after all. Beautiful blade Diceman.

Ok, you folks will probably laugh, but isn't leather typically bad for storing/carrying knives in? As opposed to newer materials that don't hold moisture or have harsh chemicals in them.

Or have I been brainwashed again?
