If I have learned anything over the years, it is not to underestimate knives because they are cheap. The Ontario is a proven performer. Naturally, the DFLE is much nicer and feels great. This just seems like a natural comparison to make. The knives are so close in size and design. I just love the new Dog Father. It feels great in the hand.

What I'm interested it, would like to see HD is the comparisons (surface) of the striped HD version DFCG and the SY DFLE! It would be really cool to see them side by side,

3rd World Grind Shop DFLE and SY DFLE just outta curiosity, we know you don't have Busse machines to finish em up but still you did a very nice job. and technically you were the first dawg to have one!

I will include my home made "LE" in the comparison. If I could design the perfect all-around big chopper, it would be the new, real, DFLE. I like the lighter, faster blades better than the really heavy choppers like the Fatty. Dan really outdid himself on this one. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbup.gif" alt="" />

I was hoping for big huge heavy knife and a nice convex edge when i was gonna get a dogfather, but i think ill like the flat ground lighter LE dogfather just as much. although i still do want to get my hands on a cg dogfather really bad!

I'm hearing that the DFLE is less front heavy than the DFCG, I'm wondering how it will affect chopping? I liked that extra "oumph!"

If I can't chop it witht the DFLE, then I will run it over with my boat/Jeep. I got a trans rebuild today, the Jeep rocks again.
