Well I went to the woods today ,and tried out my DFLE.Its a awesome chopper and the only problem I had was that my blade chipped in several places and some roll spots, all in all this thing is a total beast,,I LOVE IT!!!.Now off to work on the damaged edge

Interesting. I have had factory edges roll. Once I sharpen it, it does not tend to happen any more. Did you hit a nail or something? Can you take a close up of the places that took damage? In any event, sharpen that edge up and smash something else.

Hmm wierd. I am going to go beat my DFLE sometime soon it will be interesting to examine the edge after a workout.

By the way, welcome to the Yard.

Welcome!

I had a 2 very small chip/nicks in my coated Dogfather after the first time I'd used it. I stropped it up some, and haven't ever had problems since. That said, you can barely see where one of those original chips was... and mine has had the heck used out of it since then.

Hopefully you don't have any more issues, bro. Glad to see that DFLE getting some use!

Here's a quick pic of how "used" my Dogfather is now - after having that initial chip I was worried, but it held up 100% since then!

Oh yeah, It bothered the wife more than me ,cause of the DFLE was a early Christmas gift.but like you guy's said ,after a couple more workouts and a touchup or two it will be good as new.And after all that chopping and cutting it still shaved.

That's great man. You can always someone is either a body builder or a knife guy by the amount of arm hair he has.

I am right handed, so my left arm perpetually has no hair <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" /> I am almost embarrassed to wear short sleeves <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

I shave the underside of my forearms. That is usually enough. When I first got my sharpmaker and was touching up EVERYTHING I was stubbly on both arms!
