I like the MOD, a lot, but would not put it at the top of the heap. For me, that spot is reserved for the DFLE, followed closely by the Scrapper6LE, and then the SS4. That trio of knives is just about perfect for my taste and needs.
I love the awesome swedge and the DC finish. I could do without the serrations, although I can see how they could be useful combined with the recurve as a rope cutter.

Not just awesome . . . the MOST awesome!!! Get it? <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" /> In other words, every previously released Scrap Yard knife is somehow diminished by the uber-fantasticness of whatever knife Dan released last. Problem is, I just don't buy it.
All of Dan's knives are great. But the GREATEST is something I reserve to just one Scrap Yard knife. IMO, it's the knife that best represents everything Scrap Yard Knife Company stands for. I judge ALL other Scrap Yard knives against it. Here's a hint. It's not shiny. And it was released a long time ago. yeah I know every release is just better than the one before. bu the GREATEST SYKC knife.... hmm... tali whacker?

Wiggitty - Chris/Coldone has 'em all (if his MOD is there yet...)
He has the only known complete set of scrappers - to include "THE" coated keeper - known to exist! No sign of it here yet. Things are really slow. I still have yet to see my DFLEs up here. Once they arrive I will post a shot of all the DMs!

I said I loved it, but it is no means the best SYKCO blade! It is very precious due to the fact that there are only 50 or so in civilian hands!
I do agree with you Bruce I am a thirstin Dog and all SYKCO blades seem great when the wait is long enough!

I think that the CG DF is the best Scrapper ever made - IMO. Never had an SS4, but I'm sure thats up there as well.
The DFLE is fantastic, but I'll still be using my CG. The MOD7 is great - mostly as a collectible piece. I'm not going to use mine - and wouldn't really want the serrations if it were a CG user. Other than CO's coated keeper, the MOD is the rarest Scrapper of them all - and the price was great. The DFLE and the MOD are the only non-CG Scrappers I've gotten.
So, hype aside, the CG DF, my first Scrapper, is still #1 in my book - hands down.
