I saw an email @ the Kin Exchange but didn't look closely. Did you see it on the BF Exchange?
There won't be very many of them selling though, I don't think...

I figured we'd see one or two up for sale before long.

I know I would of guessed at least 200 on the aftermarket... I've seen DMLEs go for more.

Just to add another view, it could have been a case of buy & sell if it isn't for you.
Some folks jump on almost every blade since the purchase window is so small. Once they get it, if it isn't for them after all they put it on the market.
The big difference is the ones who list half a dozen of a single blade at a serious markup vs a single blade at a little above their landed cost (blade cost + shipping to them + shipping to new owner)
JYD#10 Blade '08 - I challenge coined Dan Busse and WON! Blade '10 - The score is now 2-0!

this one was started at .99 on the bay.. but i wonder how high it goes... I figure it may set the market value on them for a while

The seller has a rating of 0, so I wouldn't count on it setting a market value because a lot of folks won't buy from anyone without a feedback record. There are too many scams, and so long as "that site" gets their cut from the seller, they will do very little to help a buyer who's been ripped off.
Not to hijack your thread, but I see related problems with BladeForums disabling searches unless you're a paying member. I don't buy from people unless I can see that they have positive comments in the GBU sub-forum (which I can't search anymore), and it's much harder to find knives that I'm interested in anyway. So, I for one am far less likely to buy from the BF Exchange -- I spent a few thousand there last year, and if people like myself aren't buying, then the value Gold Memberships people buy so they can sell are diminished. I could just buy a basic membership, but I won't because, regardless of what they say, I believe they're just trying to force people to pay for minimal functionality that should be free.

Howdy all. I had a ringing in my ear that someone was talking about me, and low and behold. Kidding.
I've never posted here before, but I'm a long time lurker. I'm the guy selling that MOD on fee bay. I have a DM and a DF, so I thought I'd like this new one, but it's just not doing it for me; I just had no way of knowing without first holding it. I assumed I'd like it like the others. But it's kinda like a DM that's missing a chromosome; it's narrow and kinda puny. I'm sure someone will like it though.
Jim, I don't quite see how someone could get ripped off on eBay when Paypal offers Buyer Protection to everyone. This protects buyers from scammers, and they'll always get their money back if an item isn't received, or isn't as described. I'm genuinely curious how you figure this isn't adequate protection, even if a worst case scenario were to arise? Is there something I'm missing and not aware of here, or are you just not aware of the protections Paypal offers?

Welcome to the Yard, Elijah. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />
Ebay can be handy from time to time. It's the wide range of people on there that can make things challenging to me sometimes. All in all, I think I've had mostly good experiences on there, myself.
