I guess you could go up in it "back in the day" - I have a professor who is from Sedona - he said that when he was a kid, you could actually go up there! That would have been amazing...

I really like AZ - but as I've said before, the wife thinks its too hot there.

Wow those are some incredible pics guys. Who needs National Geographic?
Roo I am another huge fan of the CZ75 and I love those grips.

That coon pic is adorable. There are more raccoons than people in vancouver.
They are clever and cute but also a huge pain in the butt. When i lived in van I got so tired of explaining that you should not let your toddlers feed possibly rabid wild animals from their hands that I just gave up.

I am a huge history buff and one of the most important battles of Canadian history
other than the one on the Plains of Abraham was the Reil Rebellion a few miles from my house. This is the museum at the site of the battle and then a Hudson bay Company fort a few miles away.

Here are some weapons.

Here is a cool portrait. It shows what life was like a couple hundred years ago.

There are so many roads and rivers here in Saskatchewan we can't afford bridges over a lot of them so there are still quite a few ferry's.

As much as I love history I would not want to have to get any medical care back then. here is a medical kit.

Here is a cool period blacksmiths kit.

Fabulous pictures guys.

Stan, where is that foot bridge located. It looks really old.

Roo, your pictures caused my sides to ache. You have the darndest sense of humor of anyone I've ever encountered.

Dice, is that picture of the buildings in the mountain really part of Montezuma's castle or are you jiving us? Was it in Mexico City?

It's darn hot bro, that's for sure but there are some positives as well. Although in the long run, I can't take the heat either after 9 years it's getting to me. I think I am Colorado bound.

Bill - its called "Montezuma's Castle" - just south of Flagstaff, AZ. Its very impressive. We got there minutes before they closed for the day, it was a highlight of the trip for us. We drove through Zion Nat'll Park, saw the Grand Canyon, and visited some other ruins on the way. It was part of a 4 day mad dash to Tucson for a wedding - and was a great trip!

Great picture Dan.

Unsub I have an question regarding Canadian history. I don't know much about it but, is it the case that while those who settled in what is now the United States fought with and conquered the indiginous indians tribes while the French who settled in what is now Canada, found a way to coexist with the indians? If that's true, isn't it amazing? If it's true, it boggles my mind that different European cultures dealt with the same challenges so differently.

Thanks for the additional pic Dan.

That second pic is actually from another area... I wish I could remember what it was called. Its south of the Grand Canyon, and there's a loop you can drive w/ several ruins and a volcano along the way. I'll do some research real quick...
