I am really interested in how you guys (and even gals) carry your EDCs.
Is it on the belt? in the pocket? I do not understand how to comfortably carry in the pocket, either front or back. When you get in your car or truck, do you take it off or out of your pocket, or does it stay?

If in a leather sheath and you wear it on the belt, is it horizontal, or vertical? Small of the back, or at the hip?

I guess pictures are what I am looking for. Pictures showing maybe the sheath, and the sheath worn, or pocketed. How concealed is it when you have it on. Do you wear a coat to cover, or just wear it in full view?

Thanks for the help.

Matt

Well, I carry my 3/16” Shaker in my front left pocket next to my gun in a duct tape sheath. I have a length of paracord through it that I leave sticking out of my pocket so I can easily pull it out if it’s too hard to get my hand in my pocket. That pocket is pretty crowded carrying a Shaker, gun and a lighter.

My HRLM is in my right front pocket in a factory HR leather pouch sheath. Just an inch or so of the handle sticks out of the pocket, just enough to easily grab it. I can take a pic later of how much it sticks out if you want. I leave it in there, I don’t take it out when sitting etc. It’s very comfortable and I can’t even tell it’s there. Before I had it, I carried a Coot the same way in the same pocket.

I also carry a Leatherman Charge Ti on my belt. It’s the most cumbersome of the bunch. It won’t stay in place and is always sliding around on my belt, and it catches on armrests and things when I sit down. I have the same problem with my 2AA 3 watt mini Maglite too which is also on my belt in a leather case.

I carry my Heavy Duty in a leather sheath on my right hip cross draw style (left handed) Texas law says as long as the blade is under 5 1/2", fixed or folding its ok. But I have found that the more tactical looking the blade the more of a fuss it raises, "pretty" knives slide under the radar.

Heres my Heavy Duty in its sheath:

hmmm, I dont have a pic of the sheath I carry the AD in! Gonna have to cure that tomorrow.

My Assault Shaker gets some time on the belt when a smaller knife s more prudent:

I havent made anything yet for my SS4 but those rubber handles catch on jackets so its going to be a summer wear project.

I EDC my much loved SS4 in my right pants pocket with the handle sticking out
about an inch or two. I have a kydex sheath made by leatherface with a line from
the sheath to my belt. When I pull the knife out the sheath comes with it untill it comes to the end and the knife comes out and the sheath dangles until I am done cutting and ready to put the knife back. It is also really quick and low profile.

It is a pancake style sheath which normally would not be my choice for a small knife but for this type of carry it is perfect. It is flat and fills my pocket so the knife does not move around. The retention is good as well, the pancake style does not look as slick as the folded but the way it holds the knife tight but takes not very much pressure to remove it.

Well I made a sheath for my HRLM and I put the belt loop on the back. The way I made it however, puts the handle up high. I am not sure if this is right, but if I wear it in the middle of my back, it is very comfortable and kinda rests in the small of my back. Still, it sticks out like a sore thumb visually, and I wonder what kind of attention this might attract from Law Enforcement. I will take some pictures to show what I am getting at.

Speaking of your Leatherman Andy, I have a Wave, and I made a belt holster I guess you could say, that holds the Wave horizontal and in line with the belt. It is held in by friction, so that is no flap or snap. I will get a picture of that as well. It really works fine, and I forget that I am even wearing it, because I never snag it on anything.

I carry my Glock model 26 9mm in either a Fobus ankle holster or Bianchi IWB. The pix show them in carry position but uncovered. The Glock has trijicon night sites and a Jentra plug. I also have 10rnd mags w/ grip extendors, and 17rnd mags w/ A&G "Mag Spacer" full grip extensions. I carry my RAT3 as my usual EDC, but have a high ride leather sheath coming for my Ranger RD4 Custom from leatherface here shortly, which is going to be my main EDC.

Here’s a pic I found that I already took that you can see how far the HRLM sticks out. The jeans I wear are usually Nautica or Wrangler, and it sits about the same in both brands. If I wear some of my deeper pocket jeans (like Rocawear) it would completely disappear. Those pockets are so big I can carry a Glock 17 completely concealed in the front pocket. The white paracord you see around it usually isn’t there, that’s my water bottle. I didn’t want it to get lost in a foot of snow while I was taking pics, so I used the HRLM handle as a peg to hang the paracord on to keep my bottle out of the snow.

That Kimber will be nice! I love my Colt! Also, the Glock has the full size Mag in this picture:
