*edit* Hello everybody, this is my first post here!!!

i just received this DMLE today, and was curious about the penetrator tip that is supposed to come w/ it... am i missing something, but this tip does not look like it has one, like it says it's supposed to. sorry if i am mistaken, it's my first Scrap Yard and i'm just not sure

here's a pic i grabbed from CGN showing a penetrator tip on a DM
[Linked Image from i207.photobucket.com]

and here's my DMLE w/ what i would call a non penetrator tip?

Welcome to the Yard! I don’t remember the stats on the DMLE (if it’s supposed to have a pen. tip or not) but I’m sure someone else can tell you. You can always add one with a bench stone or file if you’d like.

Welcome to the Yard. The DMLE did not come with a penitrator tip. There was some question about when they came out and that was the conclusion if my feeble mind has not failed me.

Welcome Pazzo ,it is great you found your way over here.

The original Mutts ,the CG version had the p tip ,the LE version did not. The LE version is a lot better(in my opinion)than the CG one though.

Other than that how do you like your first Scrapper?

i love it... it's my favorite thus far

the other day i received the SR mini uncle mojo, and it too is very nice. but for me, it's a bit too big for a user. i have the NO E coming in too... i think that may be about 1" too long as well, but we'll see!!

The DMLE is a great knife. I like it more and more every time I carry it.

Not to worry, I'm sure that DM will penetrate anything within reason you care to poke with it.

Would love to see pics of the NO when you get it.

nice.
I hope you enjoy your first scrapper, I just got my first this chritmas and I couldn't be happier!

when the 48 hour notice for the DMLE came up dan posted the real stats,
normally the LE's in the knives section are slightly off.
for example, the DFLE has .275 for thickness, but Dan indicated to us that really it was .250 inches thick.
so yeah...
hope that helps some and hope you enjoy your first scrapper!

the dmle was originally advertised to have a penetrator tip but when it came out it did not have one and i remember at least one complaint but i cant remember who that was.

i think it was just a typo.the original dm is so thick that it pretty much needs a penetrator tip.if you look at the tip of the dmle you can see that their is no room for a penetrator tip imo.i think it would weaken the tip a lot.if you look at it you can see that it is pretty darn thin for a .25 thick blade.

hope this helps

Of course the original penetrator was made of depleted uranium.

Horned, dangerous, and off my medication.
