Soooo, with all the hubbub about dumpster diving, want lists, and how great a year 2008 is going to be for us dogs, who else would like to see some sort of Yard Hatchet produced?

A nice forged SR77 axe head on a steel shaft w/ a ResC grip.

Or a Scratchet.

Or a Crash Axe.

I'm game. Just give me a couple months to set aside some cash!! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif" alt="" />

i want a lightweight, comfortable haft. it need not be plastic or wood, but it has to be light and comfortable in the hand, all the way to the bit.

Great job Jeff!!!Your pup never looked more Foxworthy! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif" alt="" />

And Apprentice I am standing in line with my hand held up high! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbup.gif" alt="" />

I would be so all over a SR-77 Hatchet I'd drive to Spring Texas and take delivery 60 seconds after they went on sale. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/cool.gif" alt="" />

No, I am serious...dead serious. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/ooo.gif" alt="" />

Dan.... bring it!

Peace.

+1 on a smatchet, but I don't want a Scrap Yard hand-ax; if that's your tool, there's no shortage of companies with long histories of making hatchets and axes. However, my current preference is to use a Himalayan Imports khukri in that role.

Man! I'd be all over an SYKCO Khukri!!! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/cool.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbup.gif" alt="" />

Khuk blade with Res-C handles, sounds like a winner! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" />

the khukri...the greatest chopper. make it with the greatest steel and Dan, people will say you built the best knife ever.

at least i will. for now, battle mistress is still the knife to beat.
