My DF is gonna eat stuff... but I don't think that my FBM will kill trees a full 3X better than the DF - so I'm just going to admire it for its beauty and potential

Probably not. But I know I’ll keep my knives for a lifetime, and I’d like the best of the best when I can finally afford it.

SR-77 knives provide better performance than I'll ever demand from them, I doubt I'll be looking much past the Yard anytime soon.

I'm in the same camp. I did drop the funds for a CGFBM, but I can't justify using it. Sounds stupid, but it also makes sense!

Same here. If I could afford INFI I'd get it.

I agree bld522, we all need a (Jerry) Busse- just not chopper sized with micarta! That 25th anniversary SH could be the one for me if I can afford it and it's blades not much bigger than 6 or so inches long (the BA is too short).. I'll chop with my DF (when it arrives) the SH would be a sensible user..

Well I didn't have the heart (or the time) to break in the CGFBM. I did however test the "chopping ability" of both the DF and BR. To me the DF was the hands down winner, so much so that I'm moving the BR.

I may have to get that anniversary SH myself if it is even close to a reasonabvle price. I hope they make a CG version. Even if I had the money for all Busse knives I would still buy most of my knives from the yard. I like the res c handles better and the only FBM with the fullers that I did not think was hideously ugly was Dicemans new one. I do think everyone should have at least one Busse and one nice spyderco folder. I am really hoping that the yard comes out with a real fighter eventually.

Paul you can come visit me in saskatchawan anytime and we can legally EDC our Dogfathers and chase buffalo on dirtbikes.

The only gun I own is a Parker Hale rifle and it is not well suited to home defence because the 303 shells would overpenatrate. It does have the worlds fastest bolt action and a 10 round removable mag though. Instead I use a katana or my M6 as home defence weapons. Within 20 feet a knife is just as deadly as a gun.

Unsub- I totally agree about res-C spanking micarta.. The big advantage of INFI over sr77 seems to be corrosion resistance otherwise they seem to share most characteristics. (Based on SS4 and S6 use, before I get trampled under the hooves of angry oinkers!!) Most of the time, hell nearly all the time I figure Dan will do a knife that can do what Jerry's do at a third the cost. That works for me!

I'm not knocking Busse Combat for an instant- I may get a SH and I like INFI, just not the Jerry price!

I would disagree with this statement. A knife within 20 feet might be just as deadly as a gun within 20 feet if the person with the knife knows what they are doing. I sure don't know how to completely disable someone with a knife as quickly as I could with a gun.
