Hi guys, I just had to register too comment on this.

As far as I'm concerned a "high quality" knife should have a high quality fit and finish. The gap might not seem like a big deal to you, but if youre cutting food with it stuff will get inside. Do you want rotting food under your knife handle? I sure as hell dont, and even though SY is "cheap compared to busse", it's still a lot of money for a knife and I'll be damned if I'm going to pay this much for a knife then have to go to the hardware store and spend more money on silicon to fix something that shouldnt be broken to begin with.

I sure hope the two on their way here dont suffer this problem, and if they do I'd better not get any guff over having it fixed AND having shipping taken care of, or I'm gonna be one unhappy customer.

Sketch - Howdy and Welcome to the Scrap Yard! Don't get too excited about any potential problems with your knives - Dan and Patti are terrific folks and great to deal with. If you DO have a problem they will make it right. Outstanding customer service is one of the biggest reasons so many of us buy our knives here, along with the great blades themselves!
