My YKCG arrived Tuesday and I have been admiring it ever since. It's my first Scrap Yard blade and I'm pretty well impressed. This thing is beef. Should stand up nicely to whatever I'll be dishing out. The 3/16" blade thickness seems about perfect for all-around everyday use.

I'm only a little bummed that the sheath was backordered. But I got the t-shirt size I wanted.
Now I can be representin' the Yard, yo!

For those of you who haven't yet had the pleasure of holding a YKCG, I've included some other items in this pic, you know, for scale reference.

Soooo many ways to answer that question, depending on what you mean by "it." I will address a few possibilities that come to mind...

The knife: feels great in the hand. Res-C handles are grippy but not annoyingly so. Has just a bit of forward balance. Size is about as perfect a fit for my hand as I could want.

The edge: feels sharp. Has just a bit of toothiness. Not absolutely razor mirror hair splitting sharp, but sharp enough indeed.

The feeling of getting my first Scrap Yard/Busse kin: very nice. Relieved that I finally got in on one, especially considering how fast these went. Now the feeling shifts toward anticipation of the next offering.

The beverages in pic 3: both go down smooth with a nice warming quality. The BT has a bit more residual sugar than the KC. Not sure if I prefer one over the other; like single malts, they are just different and can be appreciated in their own ways. Both make me sleepy when consumed after 11 pm.
