Knive Guy,

I had a superhawk for a season and like it better than my TL1000S (97 model). The fit and finish was great and the power is awesome too. The reason I sold it was due to the short range. I was having to stop 2-3 times a day to refuel.

I always drooled over the 916 when I was riding and have really come to like the 1098. I am considering one.

My vote for best started bike is an SV650. They are just perfect. I actually raced them for a season. Nothing teaches you more about corner speed than a little (subjectively underpowered) V-twin. I learned a lot that season racing. Here is a crappy pic of it at the start of the season...

This is what happens when you over rev them down shifting too hard though.

I have come around to wanting more of a sport touring or supermoto style bike. I t will be mainly for around town duty and weekend trips to southern OH in the twisties but I would love a 1098 for track duty.

There could possibly be too many options...
