somebody mentioned a hunter.that is one area i didnt think of and that would make a lot of sense.that to me would be an appropriate type of knife for numbers and letters.

my problem is that by habit i keep thinking that the yard only makes big, bullet proof, battle worthy choppers and medium sized fixed blades.

swamprat did a hunter or two and are very hard to get a hold of.i bow hunt and would love to represent the yard out in the woods during the season and benefit from the best "hunter" i will have ever owned.nothings wrong with the knives of alaska i'm using but a real dedicated hunter from the yard would be great.

the YK could be used just fine but some "stainless" qualities would be best.

bld522,

i just went back and read your post.you mentioned something about a new manufacturing facility at wauseon??

when did or is that rumored to happen, what details where given,if any and who and whats it for.

thats big news.where have i been???

oh yeah,is it safe to say that "numbers and letters" means stainless??
what with numbers and letters isnt stainless??...i'm not good with that stuff.

something else to think about.just because dan said "NUMBERS and LETTERS" doesnt guarantee its in that order.with all this talk about JWB maybe thats not exactly what he meant or maybe he's like me and doesnt pay huge attention to detail or he wanted to throw us a hint while throwing us off.maybe i'm thinking to much about this.who cares???....give me the knives.

well put!
I would rather not see a stainless knife (even for a skinner. I think just about any carbon steel would be fine for that) but he brings it and I like it, I'll get it, regardless.

now i'm starting to remember but i'm just now realizing how significant this is even though its old news.i must have had a foggy ....jack daniels....brain when i read it.

i wonder if SYKCO is being made in OH. and TEX. or just in .OH now.this can only mean good things for us in many, many ways.
