Hi all....i have been keeping up on the posts and am glad everyone is doing well. i have been on vacation for the past 2 weeks but have actually been working on my house for almost a month now getting it ready to sell it. well it is on the market so now the work is done and fingers are crossed. anyway....i wanted to say it is great to see the comradery here at the yard and i wanted to comment on the changes i have also seen. being new to the yard , and getting the SYK bug, i think the secret is out of the bag. i see and read on fourms that people (like me) are being introduced to the Busse product. i knew nothing about the line and still purchased my YardHook ...how could i have known! i went to the local gun show last weekend and i have to say i was very disappointed with the steel avaiable there! that made me realize how much value the internet has in the knife industry. i took my YardHook and DFLE to show off and maby trade if there had been a FFBM or something of the likes...of course i had the coolest(and only real) stuff there. i stopped at a table of a couple guys making kydex holsters and asked how much to make a sheath for the YardHook...
they had heard of SYK but had never seen one. they were impressed , but then the guy measured it and said " $8 an inch... that will cost $56 plus extras"---(thats what i get for almost cheating on u RainWalker!!)...of course the sheath was not made, but i had a small crowd around me know wanting to know what that big-(blank) chopper was that guy had. i gave ScrapYard good PR, and i feel they are gonna get bigger , quicker as we see the releases coming quicker so i am gonna hang on for the ride and see what happens. as for foums changing....it is gonna happen-the good people will hang and the others will get their butts moderated out of here, but there will be change.....hopefully for the best.
talk to u guys later, Andy

oh ya...everyone at the gun show that saw my knives were most impressed that they were used
(of course the MOD stayed at home....i cant believe i have a "safe queen")

That's funny. Most people I show the Scrap Yard good to say , "WOW". Then you hand the knife to them and they say, "this thing is built like a tank".

The same thing happened to me when I picked up my first scrapper which was a tan yard hook from Mike Wood at the local gun show. I was going hunting the next day and needed a sheath for it so I had these guys called raven concealed carry. They charged me alot(Jeff and Dave is getting my buisness from now on) and said it would be an hour or so. I would come back from time to time to check on his progress, everytime I would walk over there was a croad and the guy was showing the yard hook to people. It ended up being two hours because he kept showing it to people!!! SYKCO blades just give off a feeling of cool, confidence and strength that will make people stop and ask "whats that". Thanks Dan for making the best hunting/survival/tactical/anything that gets in its way knife ever. Three deer fell to my hook that hunting trip, the blade is a thing of beauty. Of course it has been well loved to and its makeup is starting to ware off.

Now I have to see how I can abuse my YKCG. I have already stabbed it through a foam core door with only some finish chipping. You have no idea how many blades I broke before I found the yard!!

Wow a theme song to go with my mark of the dumpster. There are people who pay consultants to get this kind of coaching and personal development

Cool
