I watched the game; I'm not a Pats fan, but have to admit that they had a great season -- I would've been happy to see them record a perfect season.
However, I was also happy to see the underdog come out on top. Of course, it helps that your QB is the brother of Indy's. Really though, the defense won that game; they not only did a great job of keeping pressure on Brady, but they contained Maroni so that Brady had to throw. The Giants last drive certainly wasn't pretty, but they moved the ball when it was do-or-die and they earned the win. Their record for the season may not have been as good, but for this game they were the champions.
On a side note, I thought that the sportsmanship demonstrated by both teams was far better than in many of the games this year. I didn't see in-your-face celebrations or a lot of taunting; it was a good game.

That was maybe the biggest NFL upset that I can remember. Absolutely nobody gave the Giants a shot. I told my wife, I was surprised that they even bothered printing up Giants championship hats & t-shirts since the possibility of them winning seemed so remote! The defense was very good, on both ends, as I expected a bunch more points on the board, especially on the Pats side. That play where Manning snaked out of the sack and Tyree caught the jump ball against his helmet was just crazy.
I might also add... the overall quality of the Super Bowl commercials was just bad this year. One or two might have elicited a mild chuckle, but I don't think any really made me laugh. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbdn.gif" alt="" />

I was hoping that the 2nd half would be better than the firstwhich seemed a bit lacking from an offensive standpoint although the the defensive game was good. The guy that impressed me the most, even though the Pats did not win, was Welker. For a guy that's my height but another 20 pounds he did an incredible job and is one tough dude.

A great superbowl. Congrats to the Giants and their fans. I was indifferent to the winner. If the Pats had won, it would have shut up the 72 Dolphins (which I would have liked) and if the Giants won it was a great underdog story. Only contention I have is that the Giants MVP should have been the defense. They roughed Brady up all game and were, in my opinion, the real difference makers.

I am not one for watching the superbowl because usually it is boring. This year was the exception to the rule, hard fought game with the end in doubt right to the end
